5 Years of computer science In school, then self taught in building with AI
1 Year in San Francisco Plus travel through Korea, Hong Kong and China

I study software engineering at CODE University in Berlin and teach myself to build with AI. I turn ideas into working products, fast.

So far that has meant two hackathon projects, one of them placing second, my own website built from scratch, and the promo videos for my work. I am also starting my first company.

Alongside that, I am building AIchitect and running marketing with an AI video cutter I built.

My interest in computer science started at fifteen, when I began reading books about it on my own, and it grew in my advanced computer science course at school. It is also the reason I started learning Chinese, because computer science carries enormous weight in the Chinese market and I wanted a way to stand out.

Before Berlin I spent a year in San Francisco, where I picked up a very specific obsession with building things that do not exist yet. I came home and started making them.

I build in public and write the honest version of it. The wins, the mess, and everything I learn about AI, ambition, and figuring it out without a blueprint.

Projects

AIchitect

Architecture3D & RenderingIn development · since Sep 2026

AIchitect turns an architect’s Archicad plans into the complete sales brochure for a residential development, with a millimetre-accurate 3D model, verified floor plans and living areas, renderings via Chaos, and a finished layout, in hours instead of weeks.

Built for developers in new residential construction across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, who currently pay agencies €16k to €42k per brochure.

Vibeolingo

HackathonTeam2nd place

An app that teaches people to build the way Duolingo teaches a language, with short, gamified lessons and streaks. Built in a weekend at a hackathon, as a team.

We were building the exact tool I wished existed when I started teaching myself a year earlier.

Hardware Research

HardwareCODE UniversityIn progress

Together with my Software Engineering professor Damnjan Jovanovic I am building two small devices. The first is a display that sits next to your computer and shows at a glance whether your code is still running or ready, and whether you are busy or free to talk.

The second is a dynamic hair clip, a small pixel display worn in the hair that shows scrolling text and little animations. On both, I work on the software and the hardware side.

AI Video Cutter

VideoMarketingRunning

A cutter that edits videos on its own. It cuts, edits, and polishes footage and adds animations. Built for my work as Head of Marketing.

I also produce the promo videos for my own projects, end to end.

AI Agents & Weekly Newsletter

ClaudeAutomationLaunching soon

Four agents on Claude that handle routine work on a fixed schedule, including a weekly newsletter, email triage, a daily research briefing, and to-do delivery.

The newsletter is built and launches soon, with a promo video.

Okay, sit down, this week was wild 😮 Did you catch any of it?
🌍 WORLD• Did you hear an execution in Tennessee failed? Christa Pike survived two doses, I had to read it twice• The governor called off the last execution of 2026, now there is an independent review• Third US aircraft carrier heading to the Middle East, around 50,000 troops there• Brazil goes to a runoff on October 25, Lula against Flávio Bolsonaro
💼 ECONOMY• Only 29,000 new jobs instead of 84,000 and the stock market is happy anyway, I can't• Nvidia at a record high, worth over 5.7 trillion dollars. That is really unbelievable• Nike and Seagate in the red, Seagate even down 14 percent
🤖 TECH• OpenAI makes GPT 6.1 Sol about a fifth cheaper• AI agents breaking out of their sandboxes, and Reddit shuts off RSS• Did you hear there is a competition to turn back your biological age? 500 people are taking part
💭 My thought of the week. A lot of what should have been contained was not. We only notice how important quiet systems are when they fail.
See you Sunday ☕

Motivation

Good software removes work nobody should have to do by hand.

What draws me to software engineering is the moment a process that took weeks runs in hours. AIchitect started from that idea. Developers pay agencies tens of thousands of euros for a sales brochure that is largely built from data already contained in the architect’s plans. My architecture internship showed me how much precision those plans carry, and my year in San Francisco showed me how quickly a small team can build something useful with AI. At CODE I am learning to do this properly, with clean architecture, reliable testing, and products that hold up in everyday use.

Mindset

You qualify yourself by building, not by waiting to feel ready.

“I can’t do this yet” and “I can’t do this” are completely different sentences.

If I can describe a task step by step, I can automate it.

Experience

Current

Head of Marketing

mitJulia

Leading marketing and video content. Built an AI video cutter that edits, refines, and animates footage on its own, so new content goes out without manual editing.

Current

B.Sc. Software Engineering

CODE University of Applied Sciences, Berlin

Project-based computer science covering software architecture, interaction design, and building products end to end.

Hackathons

Vibeolingo · Cursor Hackathon

Built Vibeolingo, an app that teaches building the way Duolingo teaches a language, and placed 2nd. Also took part in the Cursor Hackathon with a concept for the Taxfix challenge.

2026

AI Workflow Automation

Independent Project · San Francisco

Designed and built 4 AI agents on Claude that run day-to-day operations, including an automated newsletter, email triage, daily research, and to-do delivery, all on defined schedules and without manual intervention. Owned the full system architecture, prompt design, and quality assurance.

2026

Practice Assistant

Olivia Byza, Psychology Coaching · San Francisco

Hands-on insight into client communication in a professional coaching context. Researched potential partner organizations and contributed to social media and booklet concepts, alongside building the automated workflows.

2025–26

Cross-Cultural Year

Culture Care, Au Pair · San Francisco

Lived and worked at the center of Silicon Valley’s startup ecosystem, building relationships with early-stage AI founders while developing independence and intercultural competence in a fully international environment.

2025

Technology Leadership Certificate

Stanford University, Continuing Studies · Oct to Nov 2025

Six-week program on digital transformation, technology strategy, and data-driven decision-making, with exposure to software architecture and platform strategy, exchanging perspectives with guest faculty and Silicon Valley industry leaders.

2023

Architecture Internship

sp.a Schulze & Partner Architektur · Germany

One-week internship covering the full arc of architectural practice, from structural planning and construction to site visits at ongoing builds and training in technical drawing. As a capstone, independently developed, designed, and furnished a penthouse concept from the ground up.

2022

Academic Exchange

Boarding School · New York, NY · Jul to Aug 2022

Intensive philosophy course on diversity, equity, and belonging in society, completed with top marks (A+), while living alongside students from over a dozen countries, an early encounter with the intercultural psychology I’d return to in San Francisco.

Highlights

Selina with fellow students at CODE University Selina at a university event

How to Start a Startup

A weekly lecture at CODE where founders share how they built their companies. During the series I met Diana zur Löwen, content creator turned investor and founder, known from Die Höhle der Löwen, and asked her my questions.

AIC Voice dinner

I co-hosted an event at university with AIC Voice (AI Consensus), a student led organization gathering young people’s perspectives on AI. 18 people, dinner, and a discussion on how AI really affects us and how to use it consciously. I reached out through Braydon and co-hosted with Gabriel.

First week at CODE

Won a bingo competition, placed 2nd at the university olympics and 2nd at a hackathon, attended a TEDx, and heard the CEOs of Skoda and SPREAD speak.

Two hackathons

Vibeolingo placed 2nd, and I took part in the Cursor hackathon with a concept for the Taxfix challenge.

Korea, Hong Kong, China

Recent travel through all three, with three years of Chinese lessons to put to use.

One pull up

My New Year goal was one pull up. I could not hold the bar for three seconds in January and hit it by March, by showing up every day. I use the same method for learning everything hard.
